Battery Undercharged Or Overcharged (MOTORHOME)(Charging System)

  1. Disconnect generator connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage at harness connector terminal "S" (Red wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or more, go to step 3).
  2. Repair open in Red wire between starter solenoid and generator harness terminal "S". Recheck system.
  3. Check voltage at generator BATT terminal. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or more, go to step 5).
  4. Repair open circuit between fusible link and generator BATT terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Recheck system.
  5. Check voltage at generator connector terminal "F" (Pink wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or more, go to step 7).
  6. Repair open circuit between fuse block and generator connector terminal "F". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Recheck system.
  7. Reconnect generator connector. Start engine and run at fast idle. Turn accessories off. Check voltage across battery terminals. If voltage is 13-16 volts, load test battery. If voltage is not 13-16 volts, go to next step.
  8. Bench test generator. Load test battery. Replace as needed. Recheck system.
