ECM Enable Relay Signal Test
NOTE:
The following table is used to verify voltage at the Pass Key Decoder Module connector with the connector CONNECTED and the ignition switch in the "RUN" position.
ECM ENABLE RELAY SIGNAL TEST (TABLE 1)
| Measure Between | Correct Voltage | For Diagnosis | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A2 (DK BLU) & GROUND | 2-3 Volts | (1) | ||
* If voltages is correct but car will not start and voltage is still present, replace Engine Control Module (ECM).
|
||||
NOTE:
The following table is used to verify voltage at the Pass Key Decoder Module connector with the connector DISCONNECTED and the ignition switch in the "RUN" position.
ECM ENABLE SIGNAL TEST (TABLE 2)
| Measure Between | Correct Voltage | For Diagnosis | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A2 (DK BLU) & GROUND | 5 Volts | (1) | ||
* If voltage is correct, check for good contact between the PASS Key Decoder Module and its connector. If contact is good, replace the PASS Key Decoder Module.
|
||||
NOTE:
If the PASS Key Decoder Module is replaced, its key code may not match the owner's keys. Try the owner's keys, if they don't work see the Key Duplication Procedure.
NOTE:
The following table continues to verify voltage at the Pass Key Decoder Module connector with the connector DISCONNECTED and the ignition switch in the "RUN" position.
SECURITY INDICATOR OPEN TEST
| Measure Between | Correct Voltage | For Diagnosis | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A4 (GRY) & GROUND | BATTERY | (1) | ||
* If voltage is correct do Test B.
