Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front side door window belt reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Replacement .
2. Reposition the upper rear edge of the front side door weatherstrip. It is not necessary to completely remove the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement - Door Side .

1. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the clips from the front side door.
2. Slide applique down and rearward to remove from door window frame.
3. Use a solution of 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water to clean the adhesive surface.
4. Peel off tape liner from back of replacement applique.
5. Applique has a C channel along the rear edge that must wrap around rear of window frame during installation.
6. Align top rear edge of applique to rear edge of front side door upper reveal molding.
7. Engage in-line clips by pushing applique inboard.
8. Tighten applique upper screw.
9. Apply pressure to applique against door sheet metal to ensure proper wet out of tape.
