Removal Procedure
Pull the plastic cap (1) back from the quick connect fitting (2) and down along the cooler pipe enough to expose the transmission fluid cooler pipe fitting retainer.
Using a small flat bladed tool, small pick or other suitable tool, lift one of the open ends of the retaining ring (1) in order to rotate the retaining ring around the quick connect fitting until the retaining ring is out of position and can be completely removed.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler pipe fitting retainer from the quick connect fitting.
- Discard the retainer.
Pull the cooler pipe (1) straight out from the quick connect fitting (2).
