DTC B2818: Low Tire Pressure System Reset Circuit Low: Description

BCM receives a momentary ground signal from tire inflation reset switch (located in fuse block) when tires are inflated to proper specification and the switch is pressed. BCM transmits a class 2 message to instrument cluster to turn off LOW TIRE indicator and reset the low tire pressure system. DTC B2818 will be stored in memory if BCM detects a short to ground in Light Green wire of tire inflation reset switch after 5 minutes.

A current DTC B2818 will clear if BCM no longer detects a short to ground after 5 minutes. A history code B2818 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if conditions for setting DTC are no longer present. A scan tool may be used to clear DTC B2818.
