• 11 36 Variable Camshaft Timing Control
  • 11 36 112 Removing and installing/replacing the intake adjuster, left (X5 M50i, 2020-)
    • Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 2
    • Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
    • Check the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 2
    • Relaxing chain tensioner on bank 2 for checking or setting timing
    • Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
    • Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 2
    • Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
    • Replacing the left intake VANOS adjuster
    • Removing special tool to pretension timing chain on cylinder bank 2
    • Installing the hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
    • Installing the sealing cap on the cylinder head of cylinder bank 2
  • 11 36 114 Removing and installing/replacing left exhaust camshaft adjuster (X5 M50i, 2020-)
    • Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 2
    • Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
    • Check the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 2
    • Relaxing chain tensioner on bank 2 for checking or setting timing
    • Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
    • Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 2
    • Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
    • Replacing the left intake VANOS adjuster
    • Removing special tool to pretension timing chain on cylinder bank 2
