Update Kit - Strut Mounting Tool 

SITUATION

Distribution of the following tool will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your Regional Distribution Center (RDC).

Update Kit - Strut Mounting Tool

Order P/N 83 30 2 210 777

The complete strut mounting tool (310 000) was sent out auto shipment with SI B04 10 10 . Update kit 83 30 2 210 777 is designed to allow the tools additional use on the current models listed above.

Only the update pieces will be sent auto shipment  . Update pieces include numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7 in the illustration. The laser and the case are carried over from kit number 310 000 - 83 30 0 496 659 (B04 10 10 ).

The laser pointer (1) is aligned with the center axis of the shock absorber, using the mirror of the prism (2) and adjusting screw (3) to alignment point (4).

The support bearing is properly positioned with the aid of the marks on the gauge (1).
