Adjustment (535i)

  1. Remove connector from throttle position switch. With throttle at closed (idle) position, use ohmmeter to check for continuity between center terminal (Orange or Brown/Orange wire of connector) and end terminal of switch (Brown/Blue wire of connector).
  2. With throttle fully open, check for continuity between center terminal (Orange or Brown/Orange wire of connector) and remaining end terminal of switch (Brown/Black wire of connector).
  3. If continuity does not exist in both cases, loosen switch retaining screws and rotate switch until continuity is present at proper locations.
