Brake Lamp Switch On Brake Pedal: Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:
-- Pull out the plunger of the brake lamp switch completely -arrow-.
NOTE:
It may not be necessary to pull out the plunger depending on the version of the brake lamp switch.
-- Insert the retaining tabs of the switch -1- and -2- into the intended notches in the installation opening and secure the switch by rotating it 45° toward the right.
-- Connect brake lamp switch connector.
NOTE:
The brake pedal must not be actuated during installation.
When installing the brake lamp switch, the plunger adjusts itself automatically.
-- Check the function of the brake lights by actuating and un-actuating the brake pedal.
