Throttle Body Cleaning

  1. Check for damage to the air cleaner.
  2. Remove the throttle body, K20A2/K20Z1 engines (see THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ), K20A3 engine (see K20A3 ENGINE  ).
  3. Clean off any carbon from the throttle valve and inside of the throttle body with throttle plate and induction cleaner.
  4. Install the throttle body, K20A2/K20Z1 engines (see THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ), K20A3 engine (see K20A3 ENGINE  ).
  5. Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure, 2002-2004 models (see ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE ), 2005-2006 models (see ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE ).
