SERVICE INFORMATION
A little extra attention can help prevent the wiper blades from leaving streaks on the windshield or cracking prematurely:
- Make sure you re using an approved shipping wax remover (see Service Bulletin 87-005 ). The wrong cleaning agent can cause the wiper blades to crack in a matter of days.
- After de-waxing the whole car, go back over the blades with a clean cloth dampened with shipping wax remover. Inspect the blades thoroughly to make sure all shipping wax and foreign material has been removed.
- If you coat the car's paint with a sealer or wax, clean all traces of it off the windshield so it does not contaminate the blades. Wipe the glass with isopropyl alcohol or, for stubborn spots, a little "Soft Scrub" and water.
